I saw Serenity

I'm sorry but Serenity wasn't that good. It lacked really good science fiction, it was more of a shoot em up movie. My Dad came with us and he absolutely loves sci-fi but he actually feel asleep during the show and started snoring beside me. I had to nudge him cause it was embarrassing. I wish the movie was more psychological but it wasn't.
For one of the previews however the Lion Witch and Wardrobe is opening on Christmas. I absolutely loved that movie as a child and I can't wait to see it in theaters.

I'm part of a test group

The managers from my office and my Mom's office have chosen me to be apart of a test group. We will be using an entirely different filing system and I'll find out more about it today. Everything that's faxed to me will come as an email and it's just going to be a whole new way of organizing files. One of the features that I'm really looking forward to is having the ability to sign documents with a special computer screen and then re-email them. I know the technology for this has been around for some time but not many business actual use it, I'm very excited.

You just have to love these Sci- Fi movies especially when the main character is a girl and you know she's strong and powerful yet still feminine and vulnerable. Ahhhh poor little girl. I think this is going to be a very good movie, Quentin and I are going Saturday night anyone else wanna go?

Today I booked my own plane ticket to New York

Yikes I'm very nervous about going to NY by myself, but my 2 cousins from Germany Susi and Christine invited me today to go with them in Febuary and I hardly ever see them so I couldn't say no.
So Feb 23 to 28 I will be running around NY shopping and partying, I can't wait. Okay I better go watch some more episodes of Sex and the City to get ideas for things to do, yippy!!!!!

I read an article about this guy in Elle magazine a few months back and I think he's a bit ridiculous but I'm fascinated how he's built this huge empire and had Elle magazine write an article on him. Since I spent a few years getting a psych undergrad I will always have a curiosity when it comes to any type of relationship program. I even tried to write a paper on attraction one year, but unfortunately my schools university had little to no resources regarding. One of these days I'm going to have to watch these DVD's, I'm impressed that he actually came up with a diagram mapping out different levels of comfort. I guess if you can sell."How to be a Casanova" people will buy it.

Hello family members, I just wanted to let you know I am organizing a family day of fun Sunday October 9th. Below are two invitations. The first was inspired by, Edith also know as Mommy, who uses a positive yet relaxed approach when asking for my assistance. The second was inspired by Tom, also known as Daddy, who uses an almost Hitler like approach. I don’t really care which invitation you prefer, just make yourself available October 9th.

Dear Mom, Dad, Lisa, Bradley and Quentin, I would really
appreciate it if you could help me prepare my house for renting. There isn’t
much left to do but your help would mean a lot to me. The work should only take
about three minutes, five at most, and there will be milk and cookies for all!
The weather should be bright and sunny so dress light and yes Quentin you can
wear your Sunday dress. It’s going to be fun fun fun. I can’t wait to spend
quality family time together. Work will start when I show up which will be
between 9 am and 7 pm. Jesus loves you.

Dear Mom, Dad, Lisa, Bradley and Quentin, you are going to
work on my house! What’s that you have plans, cancel them! There is a ton of
work to be done and it will take all day, yes all day. The weather man said
there is a chance of a hurricane so go out a buy appropriate hurricane gear.
This is going to be hell hell hell. Work will start at 5 am sharp. I am warning
you right now if anyone of you even thinks of not showing up there will be
serious consequences. I won’t talk to you anymore, there will be no Hawaii, I’ll
sell the house, and anything else I can take away from you I will. Don’t be
late!

K so Sunday 11 am October 9th, will just be some garden work painting and some clean up.

Our Greek visit is over.

It's been a fabulous 10 days, we've had a great time re-exploring Vancouver. I've visited downtown Vancouver so much this past week, it's like I work there. My house currently looks as though a bomb went off inside and I've discovered that when I go to sleep at night mice run around my garbage can, under my kitchen sink. My newest hobby is setting traps and swearing when they eat the peanut butter then get away. For those who know me I'm a clean/neat freak and when I opened my pantry last week to find a mouse having a hey day it was war. One of my chores unfortunately this week will be to completely clean and reorganize the pantry. I will have to throw away any package that's opened.
Besides the mice it's been great spending quality time with Kostas my second cousin and his parents/my first cousin once removed, Tasso's and Vivi. Even though we will only see each other annually at the most, you still create great bonds that will last indefinitely. Hopefully if economics allows Quentin and I will spend some holiday time in the Greek Island this June.
Now we're all so tired, Jon and Kostas are dozing on my white couch as I type and we have 25 minutes before we drive to Vancouver Airport, no banner this time. That's the sign of a good adventure a little bit of exhaustion once it's over.
