Our Silly Cat

Today I came home to a sick husband who will need a lot of rest and tending to for the next few days. Luckily Muffin has also decided to help by keeping Quentin warm as he sleeps, I don't think she's very sad that he came home early and has been lying on the couch all day.

The Illusionist

An amazing movie, what a classic love story the type that leaves you inspired and walking around the kitchen with a big smile afterwards. I love the dark serious intense German/Austrian overtones with it's classical melodies. It reminds me that, "Yes" even my own Crouts can be romantic. You'll love it, a great movie to cuddle on the couch with!

My Golden Globe Favorite!

Reese Witherspoon is always one of my favorites. I saw a brief clip of her on the news today and I immediately went to the laptop so I could get a better look at her dress. I love it, she looks adorable, this soft yellow is so great on blonds!

Hey Happy Birthday Steve

Quentin and Steve at the restaurant, why is it that guys for the most part guys hate to sit still for pics. This was the best I could do for the evening. :)



Jessica bought everyone these amazing cupcakes at a specialty shop downtown, I can't remember the name, but they were very yummy.

After we all headed to Yuk Yuk's and saw a really good show. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed a good lineup. One of the opening girls did a great bit about buying a $400.00 purse and how it was so expensive that it was all she owned, except the tissue paper inside.

Anyways what a great place to go with friends, live entertainment is definitely worth it.

Mt. Baker for the day

This picture describes the day well. Me just happy to be on the mountain in the beautiful scenery snowboarding and Andrew being the official Mt. Baker tour guide explaining in very specific detail to everyone exactly were the best runs and jumps would be.



Here's the boys coming in off a lift, Quentin Jon and Andrew. I'm just a tad slower than they are on the flat cat tracks, so I got alternate routes to help keep up the groups pace.
It was all good and such a treat to get away on a Thursday in such perfect conditions.

Wind caught me today

I was out taking pictures of houses today and a huge gust caught my hair. I snapped a quick shot as the camera was already in my hand.

Dancing in Whistler

It was really fun to get out for a bit and dance to all those dumb songs that you get so excited for when their played and you're with friends.

Cross Country Paradise

I had no idea that cross country skiing could be so much fun. What a great way to see the beautiful snowy winter wonderland. Here is Hadley and I at Whistler's Lost Lake trail.

New puppy in the family

On new years eve my parents and Bradley drove to Seattle to pick up a Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppy. As a family growing up we had another Corgi named Lad for 17 years. Now Bradley decided the family was in desperate need of another dog and finally convinced my parents on purchasing a new puppy. Here we all are at my house spending our first few moments with the puppy, who Bradley wants to call Diesel??? I think that will be vetoed however, everyone seems to like Oliver.
Watch his hind legs, he's double jointed and it's soooo cute!!!

Christmas Images

Funny enough Quentin and I bought each other Nintendo's for Christmas. I wanted my ultimate favorite game Bubble Bobble and Quentin wanted the new Wii. It's been game central around here lately and really fun to have everyone over to play along with us.






My Mom loves a beautiful dining room table and will set the table a few days in advance. I've inherited this appreciation from her and thought I'd post a quick pic of our Christmas dinner table.

Big White

The sunrise from our condo in the morning at Big White. It was so gorgeous to drink your coffee and look out these gigantic windows and see this multi colored view.



Skating is the first major sport I did as a child, I always really enjoy have a bit of time on the ice. Especially on an outdoor rink, it's a treat.



Here I'm trying to do just a basic spin and we thought it would be neat to do a longer exposure.

Here we were at the ski in ski out village in the morning. It was very exciting to wake up to such stunning conditions after experiencing a white out bone chilling snowstorm the night before. In the fresh bright morning everyone was dancing around the condo from excitement.



The afternoon sun just about to start setting onto the horizon, the lighting was incredible.

Here's baby Talia discovering mirrors! I thought this was so cute and that we had to take a video. Oh and of coarse the boys made a joke in true Dunsmoor style, which always catches me off guard and then I'm the last one to get it.

This is so funny, almost my entire family watched it twice today in the office. Rosie you're hilarious you got Donald cold!

Snackers for 2 Days

We had Snackers for 2 long days and 2 long nights. Although he was incredible cute when sleeping or chewing on your finger we decided a puppy needed more time and attention than we were able to give.

Here's a quick clip of our puppy suffering some separation anxiety and somehow still being cute.

I have no name...

Last night the door bell rang, I opened the door to my youngest brother Bradley speeding off in his car and a kennel left on the doorstep with this Mini Pinscher puppy inside! At first I thought I had to take care of it until Christsmas, but soon I read the note saying the puppy had no name and reasons I should want to keep it.

1. I provide more entertainment than cats, who just sit there.
2. I give you an excuse to go for a walk, take me to the park etc.
3. I'm small, I don't eat a lot, so I'm cheap to take care of.
4. From what I've heard, the family rarely goes on vacation together so there would always be someone to take care of me.
5. I will provide countless happy moments, from doing stupid things around the house, to wrecking some little piece of furniture... I have more character then a cat, and will make any household, "more fun".

The note continued to say:

Anyways! Have fun with me. Brad told me that you will for sure be mad at him so he won't be picking up your phone calls or sticking around because he wants you to get used to me.

I'm not sure what to do, but he is adorable. Maybe I can name him Snack or Donut because it kinda goes with Muffin's name, our cat.

Currently, as I write this post, he's trying to work his way through my housecoat from my lap into my arm and then down my sleeve to my wrist.

Blackcomb with Cabby

Cabby and I at Spanky's Ladder Blackcomb. The conditions were amazing, while it was windy storms and power outages in Vancouver, Cabby and I were in 2 feet of fresh powder with clear crisp conditions.



Crystal Ridge, my absolute favorite part of Blackcomb. If it wasn't for things like snowboard/skiing I would never witness scenery this beautiful. To be on a part of a run all alone when no one else is around gives this incredible feeling of relaxation and excitement at the same time.
