Oksana Baiul

When I was a kid she was my hero, I mean when she won the Olympics in 1994 I had never seen anyone command the ice like she did. Since then I haven't seen anyone else even come close to having the amount of presence that she does on the ice. I was just checking the go Fug yourself site and she was on it so it reminded me of her. I saw her perform live, once she did an arabic themed program and of coarse it was to die for. I only wish I had that kind of confidence when I skated.

totally agree. by the time i saw oksana skate for the first time, i had been done skating for 3 years (wished i had her no-fear abilities).
anyone that says she didn't deserve to beat nancy kerrigan has no clue. skating is about artistry, not mechanics. oksana is the true swan princess.
